DIY Magnetic Insect Screen Singapore: EFFECT OF MESH COLOUR

We supply standard 18 x 16 (thread per square inch) Fiberglass Mesh in 3 colours, Black Grey & White. Depending on day or night time, the mesh will have different effects as shown in the pictures below.

Fiberglass mesh available in 3 colours. Black, Grey & White (discontinued)

Day time

Night time

Black mesh is recommended as it is more invisible day & night.

Grey mesh is good during the day but has a blur-ish effect at night.

White mesh is not recommended as it reflects light & will be very visible.

18 x 16 thread per square inch. Hole size is about 1.25mm x 1.5mm

As follow up, I installed the magnetic fly screens as per instructions. The results are more than satisfactory. Challenges included tensioning the flyscreen, and securing the magnetic strip to frame with the fly screen in the channel. eventually completed. results are good. it works. Next time I wouldn't choose white magnetic frame for the coffee brown aluminium frame. otherwise, all is good. Thank you......David W

Received the item within two days from order. It was challenging to install the item but not hard. Just need to measure the windows correctly and cut accordingly. Great product!..... jul***

Have fixed the screen, small window easier to fix as screen is more sturd. Bigger one easy too but abit filmsy so need 2 person to fix. Overall great products n thks for it.....Cherie

Just to share with you, I have good success with the kitchen gate which pasted onto wrought iron. It works & looks good. The black mesh looks invisible.....Jason

The mosquito screen works great. I installed it on my balcony sliding door (one side) so I can still open at least one panel.....Stanry

Very fast and easy to assemble, and I completed both in just 40 minutes. I've attached some pictures of the finished screens (now my cat gets a good clear view).....Julie

Thank you very much for demonstrating patiently how to fix the insect screen.
We managed to fix it properly without any issue.
Really like the product very much except i find that the plastic smell was a bit strong ... think it is going off slowly..... Hai San
